Mother Goose
4th-6th December 2025

For 2025 we set Mother Goose loose! What is known as the "Hamlet for Pantomime Dames" this tale centres around everyone's favourite matriarch as she discovers the true meaning of what it means to love yourself with a little help from her children Peter and Lulu, as well as their rather large goose Priscilla. With extra magic from Fairy Glimmer and devious plots from The Demon King.

Relaxed Performance
Following the success and the great feedback we had from last year's relaxed performance, we once again held a relaxed matinée performance on the Saturday of our run as part of our continued belief that theatre should be available for all members of the community.

What is a relaxed performance?
Our matinée performance is catered to be enjoyed by everyone but with a few adjustments to make it a more relaxed and comfortable way to experience a show, especially for people who may find traditional theatre etiquette stressful. Relaxed performances can be beneficial for people with:
-
Chronic pain conditions
-
Babies or very young children
-
Autism
-
Learning disabilities
-
Sensory or communication needs
-
Mental health conditions
-
Neurological conditions

What will be doing in our relaxed performance?
-
Technical changes: Lowering the volume and reducing loud effects
-
Lighting: Leaving the house lights on throughout the show
-
Noise and movement: Allowing noise and movement in the auditorium
-
Chill-out space: Providing a quiet place to go if needed located at the back of the hall
-
Visual story: Sending out a visual story via our YouTube channel talking you through the layout of hall, this will be available about a week before the performance. On the day of the performance we will host a pre-show introduction introducing you to the characters and set of our show.
-
Re-entry: Allowing people to leave and re-enter the show as needed

We would like to thank the staff at Bristol Hippodrome (ATG Entertainment) & The Octagon Theatre (Westlands Yeovil) for their advice in organising this relaxed performance.
